Wendy seeks out authentic cultural experiences showcasing stories of the people, history and food that make each destination unique. She helps travellers navigate destinations by encouraging them to stay longer with through helpful guides and insightful tips. Her focus is on solo, couple, girlfriend, and multigenerational, 50-plus travel through cruising, air and road-trip adventures.

Wendy has travelled more than 525,000 km by land, sea and air to: 40 countries, 34 US states, eight Canadian provinces and territories; visiting 50 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and more than 140 national and state/provincial parks in the USA, Canada and South America.
For more than 20 years, she worked in the fast-paced newsrooms of The Vancouver Sun and The Province eventually as a digital editor. Wendy also produced content for Postmedia.
Wendy is the founder, owner, creator and content producer of template3.chewiemedia.com which she hopes will inspire you to travel, explore and learn about destinations near and far.
The site features trip planning guides, travel tips, road trips, food, culture and photography from around the world.

Linda Barnard is a National Newspaper Awards-winning career journalist who left the Toronto Star in 2016 to become a full-time freelance writer covering travel, food and wine — with a side of film.
Her travel stories focus on local people, well-researched inside info and a touch of quirk, written in a way that inspires readers to set out on their own adventures. Linda is a passionate traveller who boarded her first plane at age 10; a pint-sized proto solo female traveller off to visit her grandmother.
Whether that short hop to Windsor, Ontario, or the long flight to the end of the world at Ushuaia, Argentina, Linda has never lost her passion for going places and writing about these experiences.
She is a member of the Travel Media Association of Canada, the Society of American Travel Writers and the Toronto Film Critics Association. She lives in Victoria, British Columbia.
